Hi all, thanks for vouching for me and authorizing me.

I'll try to be around once I get this job search stuff settled. If I'm lucky that'll be this weekend as I feel good about the last interview I did If not we'll see.

Biggest problem I'll have with participation (other than just lack of time) is that I never picked up PtW. So I'll go ahead and say to treat any advice which I give that sounds like its coming from an uninformed position like it is I'll probally pick up ptw after moo3 though and once money is a bit less tight.....

I'll start by just asking the basics though. I noticed we are playing Carthage. I know our unique unit is the mercenary and comes with bronze working from the other thread. My only other question would then be what are our traits? I assume militaristic at least. And at a guess either religious or commercial. I'll save questions about other changes from vanilla civ3 for when they come up
EDIT: Nevermind, I found out our traits are industrious and commercial in the infoCenter thread Be patient with me, it'll take me a bit to catch up

Other than that though, I don't think lack of ptw will effect much as long as I dont run for office (and I wouldn't due to lack of time anyways).

I would be inclined to let jim_steer in. I agree with keeping newly registered people out for now. jim_steer is not such a case and there are literally thousands of Poly members who cannot meet the standard of one of us knowing them.

The other teams have agreed to not cheat or to benefit from a cheater. That is good enough for me for those registered long before discussion of this game began.

You do realise that page numbers are only relevant to each person if in their choices of how they'd like to view this forum that they all would choose to view the same number of posts per page. I have mine set for 50, so there IS no page 4 or 5 (for me). When speaking of a certain post you need to post a link to that post. As I have found out, rather begrudgingly, you cannot search these forums, so links to an exact post are warranted when one references such a post.

BRC, a newer Strat forum "regular", has signed on. I can vouch for him (as will others, if they see this message). He'll probably be more of a lurker, but I have the feeling he'll contribute more and more as time goes on (just like in the Strat forum).

Although I'm very much inclined to play a strong builder game here (Carthage...duh), I would relish in the opportunity to super-early rushing Firaxis and demanding a MP patch when their last city is surrounded. This is not to be mean: I would seriously split my sides laughing if this happened.
