Laz - I couldn't find that in my psychology dictionary. What scientific term exists for that one?

You know, every marriage is in effect backed up by a "civil union", the license granted to the couiple by the state. Going to a priest or minister and having him or her perform a ceremony gets you absolutely nothing with regards to the law, it's the form you fill out that gives the couple their legal priviledges. It is important to bear iin mind that those legal priviledges come with responsibilities, they represent a commitment that the unlicensed couple simply doesn't have.

Today the Polish population almost fucked up EU entry. Of course they have a strong parliament to force them in in case they mess it up, but still. Pretty clever people, our neighbours.

Never seen your movie?
General Turgidson: "Strangelove, Strangelove.... doesn't sound like a kraut name, does it?"
Stains (was it him?): "He changed his name when he became a citizen. Used to be Merkwürdigliebe"
It is, in fact, the literal translation of Strangelove from barbarian into human.

An Interesting question, i personally believe married couples should be given aid because hopefully they have, or will start a family meaning they can set up a nice home for the kids - our future!
Therefore, gays shoudnt get their hands on such dosh, although there is then an issue of equality since not all married couples will have kids.
The problem with this solution are the conceptual and any possible legal differences between a Marriage and that other bond thing. A Marriage is a serious thing, will this civil union be taken as seriously?? can gays get out of it easier than hetro's? Can one be married and have a civil union with a fella too?? it needs to be ensured that a civil union is no less binding and serious than a Marriage otherwise it is discriminatory on unmarried hetro's.
If it's exactly the same as a marriage then why not call it that??
