in the late1930s the US had the 17th largest army, by the mid 1940s we had one of the largest, not to mention nuclear weapons and the beginings of the jet age. The US became a super power... im not off at all, i am just htinking in differnt terms than you are

I get the number from a number of sources. I tone down the extremes that claim it was 60 to 80 million.

And you speak for all the Ukrainians, Uzbeks, Georgians, and assorted others who could not waste a minute to be rid of your beloved system? btw, that system carried off far more of them than of Russians. You expect they would thank you for it?
