Paddy, for each city, as it is about to come on line, I would like to have a pole just prior to settling for the name of the city. Olympia is a fine name, but I think peopel were thinking of using that for the Ivory site.

Whatever you are comfortable with. The settler has about.... 7 turns til completion (at work, so no game or notes to check), then there are 3 turns to get to the new site and found the city, so 10 turns... about 3 weeks at our current rate until we need the actual final name. No hurry, jsut something to keep on our minds is all.

Maybe we need to try and get ahead of cities and especially units since we are currently in a buld up.

Like for our next Hoplites, run a poll with 8 or 9 Greek names.

Top three are the next three Hoplite names.

We record it here and then the consuls have a handy place to go for naming as units are produced.

The same can be done with cats, horses, etc.

And for cities we can have people niominate names and say I want this one on a river or next to a mountain or anywhere.

Then as cities are built the consuls hve a stable of names they can go to.

It might be a good way to stay ahead of the game mate

I will also get some polls running so that we do have a stock of names My Minister may be a tad concerned, as he originally wanted the names polled just as the unit/city was to be created. Now that we have grown and are on a growth phase... well all should be well
