Where do you think your colour commentator Skanky "The Skank" Burns gets all his junk food and mid-match booze from? Your friendly pie- and pint-seller and peanut- and popcorn-chucker extraordinaire! Kill Bill works too - if you listen carefully you can even hear someone saying katana, which is translated as "sword".

I've never managed that - but I did once fill an unhacked one with "things I need to sell as soon as I reach the next shop".

I had actually completely run out of cash (only had a few thousand left ) and needed more to upgrade my weapons, so I was glad of it.

Heh, running out of cash in ToB? You must have been using that mod for improved upgrades from Cromwell and Cespenar. Although that ring that summons 3 elementals at once is good...

Well, possibly, although it used to, and some might say still does, refer to a specific kind of sword, rather than all of them. Certainly in BGII it refers to a specific kind.

No, I'm not. I don't quite know what I've been doing to be so poor, but it's probably mostly because I'm too much of a hoarder. I refuse to sell things like Carsomyr, even though I have no Paladins nor thieves in my party. It's just too precious .

Shucks - it looks like it was just a false alarm - Sola getting a bunch of new abilities, not the Eclipse party. At this rate I'll not get to the eclipse party before the end of the game...

I swept through Abazigal's lair this evening. Draconis was much easier than I expected and Abazigal much harder... I guess it's a result of altered party composition, or some such thing.

So... just you-know-who left now (and if you don't know, then I won't give it away), and with luck

spoiler(highlight to read): I'll be able to get him to aid me this time, because I'm sure I could use the help for Ascension . Last time I played this I didn't have enough wisdom to persuade him, or something like that...

Er, to try to rescue this post from being classed as "Morrowind level", you'll need an update from my current game. Well I was going to play a little biut last night, but worked quite late and my girlfriend had almost finished watching her video of the previous day's ER by the time I finished so I couldn't use that time profitably.

Did much playing the last couple of days. My party has now completed the Underdark and just got back to Athkatla. About to finish my Ranger Stronghold Quests and doing Jaheira's Romance before going to kill a certain Vampire. I have help against Bodhi, but I want to try it single handedly, just my PC. He's an undead killer, so a false dawn and then laying into her with the Mace of Disruption and Crom Fayaer might be enough. I'd love to see him manage it.

The game sayeth:

False dawn calls into existence a bright reddish light, as if a sunrise were occurring, within the area of effect. All undead creatures within a false dawn suffer 6d6 points of damage. There is no saving throw against this damage. Affected undead also act confused on the round after the false dawn appears.

Not as much damage as sunray, but the confusion is very helpful.

I haven't got any kick-ass spells yet, and won't have for a long time yet, now that I've duelled Imoen and she's only back up to level 2 wizard, and Dynaheir is trying to hitch a lift in the middle of Cloakwood Forest. She had skull trap, which sounded cool, but I could never get to work, and the stinking cloud worked a treat at the Gnoll stronghold when I went back. I just stood back and shot arrows into the cloud. Killed about thirty of them just like that.

Skull Trap is a VERY cool spell. It makes a floating skull, and anyone that walks into it goes BOOM!

I like to lay them in stacks where I'm expecting attacks to come from

Except now I'm regretting using all of the spell scrolls on Dynaheir and hoping that I can buy them again later with Imoen, once she reaches a high enough level. I also forgot to bring enough arrows so I hope to encounter some kobold commandos.

Well I hate going shopping with my girlfriend (or for anything other than food ), but don't mind visiting the merchants of the Forgotten Realms, especially with loads of cash burning a hole in my pocket.
Btw, I have looked at the Robes of ____ Alignment, and they don't appear to be any better than those I already have (Knave's, Adventurer's, Fire & Cold). Are they worth buying? What is the best "armour" for a mage? Just a dexterity of 18?

I'd say the big advantage of the Robes of the X Archmagi is the reduction of 5 to your base AC, which counts as armour, so you can lower it further with DEX, Rings of Protection etc

Most useful for mages that don't want to have to cast Armour and/or Shield all the time, and who are likely to get attacked. I'm thinking Fighter/Mage combis in particular, who really benefit from these robes.

If you're going to take the time and effort to protect your mages with spells and the rest of your party, then the cash is wasted on these rather expensive robes. Buy more Arrows of Detonation instead
