sounds risky. Just make sure you buy it from a place that allows you to return games after you open them.

Yeah, I found myself a lady bard to henchify with me. Relatively pretty, and since I'm a fighter then I wanted someone with spells who could take care of themselves in a fight, and she seemed the best option.
I then went into the brothel but there was nothing doing there, which was a shame because I paid a fortune to do it. Because my Charisma is so low then I can't persuade anyone to do anything for me. I've got a ticket for the colosseum, which I will visit later, and made my way into the Peninsula area. Tonnes of prisoners to kill, easy fights but little experience. I helped some woman back to the safety of the city gates, but didn't get any exp for it whatsoever.
Next I'm off to the Guard HQ to see what I can do there.
If I were to buy the nymph's cloak then will that raise my CHA to 18 like in BG?

I think I was in the middle of something and noticed about 10 minutes later. Sorry 'bout that.

Anyhow...

So last night my party was getting our ***es handed to us by the Bandit Chief in the caves just West of the Gypsy Village and everyone in the party died AT LEAST once. Being the rogue with tons of hide and move silently skill (along with enhancements to that via items), I eventually just went into hide mode, stole all of the bandit chief's loot, and snuck out without any of the bandits detecting me (this after burning out my raise dead scrolls trying to help my party members... who would promptly get killed by the bandit chief ALL OVER AGAIN each time they were raised... oh well).

So after finally making it back to the Gypsy camp, for some reason there was a one-armed bandit who followed across from Blindman's Bluff and everyone in the Gypsy Camp was attacking it. A 20th-level wizard by the name of Dylanna Mu hit it with some sort of area-effect sonic boom or perhaps ball lightning spell (not sure, one of the new HotU spells) that hit AFTER the enemy was already dead, but succeeded in killing myself and 2 of my fellow party members at full hitpoints.

She first seemed rather remorseful, but after most of them had taken off, she was laughing about it maniacally with her friend, that Eerith character. When she came over to do her business with the gypsies, I struck up a conversation with her asking her to explain herself. Quite a conversation ensued and I turned down many of her offers of free gifts of powerful magical items and other aid as apparent repayment.

It ended relatively well, however. She ended up passing out raise dead scrolls to a lot of people so they might raise on the spot of death due to aid from party members rather than using the gypsy witch.

I begin to wonder about the nature of this server, but I'll keep trying it.

nymphs cloak only raises it by a certain amount. If it is +4 it will raise it by 4.

You couldn't get laid in a brothel. *points and laughs*

Yes I've put the dungeon on hold for a while to work on Folderol stuff. The dungeon was getting crazy anyway - just too big and untidy.

Well I was thinking of exporting all the maps as .erfs and then...

It will definitely be on hold till after the move, its become such an immense project... I mean its twice as big in the current form as the entirity of Folderol, not to mention the 200,000 words of dialog, and pages of scripts... its become a monster.

We shall see... I think DoA 2 needs to be planned better from the word go. Everything is named so haphazardly, even floats and ints... I need a notebook just to write a script to close a door *sigh*

As the second part of Prime Jammister's question time begins, duke o' york, somewhat lost and clearly in the wrong chamber, rises and poses the following question:

"Would the right honourable gentleman kindly explain to the house exactly how one might get DoA to work properly? Is it necessary to create a subfolder in the NWN folder and to put all of the files in there? Does NWN do all of this itself from the main game menu?"
