But it's still negating the point of trade, which is that it's an exchange - two people trading with eachother for mutual benefit. How can that happen when one side of the deal is sabotaged?

For it to remain consistent with the principle behind trading, such sabatoge would either need to destroy all profit made out of trade with that person (including that of the sender's) or only prevent the target from sending out caravans of his own.

Actually it was Skanky Burns, not Spaced Cowboy, but either way, it has now been corrected (both in the table and on the map) to reflect 13 cities

I'm at an impass here. some in a non-despotism spent most of their savings on armies, now they have exactly 0 gold. I don't know whether army support is taken out before before the income stage (in which case his whole military would abandon him) or during (and he would only get the support gold taken from income)

May I be the first one to point out that without being able to do my research, i don't think that I can still build the NRA. I was interested to see how you where going to make cutbacks for that turn with everythign being interconnected, sorry. I wasn't going to start making plansfor espionage attacks untill this turn because i figured Kucinich would be mroe concerned with his neighbours. *shrug*

Just to clarify (since you could sort of mean two things by what you said) an army's price is equal to the tech level. So if you have tech level 7 and 40 armies, each new army will cost 7 gold. (rather than the next one costing 280 gold ie, 7x40)

Hmm, I had thought that spies would essentially remove a player from the market for a turn (others can't trade with them either), though let this run and see what happens.
