and also- why won't you ever let me build my **** 12th city! I keep complaining about that and nothing happens! I think I've spent 72 gold on nothing so far!

It's been 2 turns that I meant to build it and nothing happened- why? please answer me? Am I calculating wrong? I should have its income from two turns right now.

(Well, actually, looking closer it appears on the map, but not in the chart- could you please doublecheck that the gold still counted toward my total)

*Note: I will refrain from sending orders until the tech and city issues are resolved.

I have a question on Trade...
Last game Smiley stopped trade when everyone was a war with each other so obviously a nation at war cannot trade with the nation it is at war with, but can the Caravans cross enemy lines? (meaning that if your enemy is between another Society and you, can the Trade cross your enemies territory into the other society whom you are not at war with?)

Yes, i figured as much. What's ironic though is that I wasn't actually trying to win my cultural victory.... although that's probably what I would've ended up doing since no one else seemed to be very interested in building wonders.

Hey GC, I mean....just how much does it cost to support an army under republic. I thought that it is 1 army = 1 gold.

I wondered about that too, so I scanned the rules again and I think the reasoning is that you don't get income from newly captured cities. I am guessing that what income you got from your city that you had at the start of your turn was used to support the armies you have left?

Good question Darkcloud.

I don't know either, but I interpreted the "/" to be more of a "&" (meaning that tax income and wonder income are mutually exclusive, you get them both as applicable, but one has no effect on the other)

Edit: but perhaps the means you were asking in jest, and here I answered seriously

Espionage
It was an all out spying fest on Sparrowhawk this turn, with 5 spies being sent his way. He tried to sabotage Skanky Burn's military production but got caught on a wild goose chase with one of Skanky's spies. Another of Skanky's spies worked together with one from New Offtopic to make sure Sparrowhawk had no new recruits, while another New Offtopican made sure all research was destroyed. A paradise spy made sure the military stayed put by putting fake attack reports all over the country.

I would have been dissappointed if they didn't attack, the cohesion is imressive! I didn't expect that...have to wonder if one Society leader organized it??

Good Job all.....down but not out.......yet!

Edit: Skanky is the one to be afraid of in my opinion, more cities, more armies and in a Republic to boot...doesn't look good for any of us!!
