Reported just now, two explosions were heard in the vicinity of the school. No further word. This incident is getting almost no attention from the US press. Wierd.

Size, size, you know that saying- size doesn't matter?
So in 1941 Germany had over 170 mln population, while USSR had 191 mln, considering that Germany already had almost whole Europe (conquered or allied) they had a quite an advantage in terms of both population and industrial capacity. Aside Polish army, Red Army was in some fields superior in comparison with Werchmaht (but in many fields wasn't), first of all T-34 comes to mind.
I can't say the same about Polish army. Both Soviets and Germans improved in mobile warfare, invented by Budenny during Russian civil war and Russian-Polish war, while you just copied it, because it was absolutely butt-kicking in 20's. Your mistake. So I think your statement is incorect.

Yes, when pediatrician Dr. Roshal whom they demanded for negotiations (he helped in 2002 during hostage situation in Moscow) was about entering the building for personal negotiations with terrorists, they've started fire from assault rifles and grenade launchers attached to AR's. No one was hurt.

FSB just asked Iranian journalist of Al-Alam TV chanel to help with negotiations and he agreed (recently Al-Jazira TV journalists refused to help with negotiations).
Looks like they are trying all possible chanels to start talks.

Senator from Chechnya just made a big statement, in brief- "the ****s who did this are just beasts who have nothing common with Islam, they are just a ****ers, no matter of their nationality, or faith. Thier people curse them. Chechen, Ingush and Ossetin "stareishiny" (elders, leaders, respected because of their age and wisdom) offered to substitute hostages with themselves".
Also there was a meeting in Chechnya were locals condemned terrorists.

NEWS FLASH!
Terorists just released 12 children and 12 females. Females have been released without any conditions. Terrorists refuse to negotiate with doctor whom they demanded for negotiations before and probably would talk with jouranilsts of Arabian TV chanels.
Also some just born babies still remains among the hostages (some parents brought their babies to celebration dedicated to first school day).

I'm afraid this case would have very bad concequences. Perhaps terrorists want a scenario when everyone would start to avenge children and start to attack inocent, civilian people of Caucasus orgin everywhere across the Russia. Human's rage is unpredictable.

I realize that during second Chechen war many civilans died, but I hate to remind you DD, that it was your country who invaded foriegn country which never done any harm to US and never threaten/have any possibilities to fulfill their threat. Now you, who invaded forign country to "bring them freedom", without a single provocation from thier side, lecturing us about human rights? Just how many human rights you have violated in Iraq? How many civilians you have killed there? Wasn't in you DD, who posted a pic of US troops seating on huge fuel air bomb proposed for Iraqis?
And to your knowledege, such boms doesn't designed for urban warfare. They designed for destruction of deep cave-like hideouts. Such boms do not used against cities, simply because it's inefficient, because the same destruction could be achieved with common bombs.
p.s. Nothing changes.
