If that probe team was still within base radius, it would have been visible on the base screen right? So I guess it must be on the river just east, possibly having landed there? If we move a B-4 to Mendelev College to chase down the probe foil then we could use it to scout that area en-route.

How about we send them something like this right away:

We already destroyed a Morgan ship that came too close to Zak, so there has been precedence. I think we need to repeat clearly, that we treat the University territory as our own.

I'm fairly sure we mentioned in a Phalanx there somewhere that we treat pactmate territory as ours. I could dig up the link and send it to Geo if you wish, or we could put up a carefully worded, proper declaration of the doctrine ("for the benefit of all") in the next issue.

The topic in the header has not been adressed sofar.

The scientist at the Research Ops Centre, with their few scientific commodities, would feel offended if the Spartans choose to trade this technology with other factions behind our back. The more since the Spartan merchant code restricted our trading of received technology with other factions.

May I ask a quick response on this issue?

I didn't give IntInt to the University yet though. Should do that before the end of the turn.

As for the other Angel inquiries, how about a few quick replies:

On their question two weeks ago:

The Morganic threat has already disappeared though in the meantime, and we no longer require to sail near your west coast. We appreciate though you were willing to consider our request, and hope you will be as open as us too if you want to pass through Spartan territorial waters.

We are glad to confirm receiving Intellectual Integrity. And don't worry, as we speak, I'm about to go to the foundation ceremony of the Citizen's Defence Force. So you can certainly trade this technology forward next year.

As to your request for the cruiser hull, we are currently discussing what we could ask in return (what do you have?). You do have to understand though, at present the Federation is still the only possessor of this ground(ocean)-breaking naval technology. And there's no way we want our advantage to fall in enemy hands as soon as we trade Doc:Ini to you. Therefore we're wondering if you would be willing to accept a permanent trade embargo as condition for any deal?

I think it's kind of silly of them to attach additional condition to a trade we agreed on such a very long time ago. We should be able to play this in our favour. If they wanted a trade embargo on this tech, they should have explicitly told us so. Why should they be allowed to change contracts at will?

I haven't yet posted the message below in the Angel forum, so if we want we can still change it. In the turn I have given IntInt to Zak, but not (yet?) to Lal, but we can still can before sending it on. Do we want to offend the Angels though. As far as I'm concerned, we can give anything we want to our submissive ally Zakharov - it's not the Angels' business. But Lal is something else... After all, if they wanted to the Angels could have traded Lal IntInt in their turn already instead of sticking to a temporary embargo, and then who knows Morgan could have stolen it from them with that Gator.

GeoModder was here tonight. We talked a bit about the ACDG and apparently the Angels were just about to sign an economic pact with the Gaians. Should we offer a pact ourselves to keep the Angels out of the Axis of Weasels? They'd gain infiltrator info on us then though...

Oh yeah, Geo says you can't frame a human faction. And Yang doesn't want to talk to the Angels. So I don't see a way to create war between Yang and Morgan and prevent them from getting D:AP from him, except for hoping that Yang doesn't want to talk to Morgan either.

I sent this little PM btw back to Geo, just to give an official reply to the Angels about that probe team, before we forget about it.

Nothing requiring much attention, though.

The elections are pretty much decided (congrats Yang).

The Pact of Angels and Gaians is... well... not important as long as Angels are friendly to us. There is a simple choice: Either we accept the Pact with the Angles and proceed with tech trades, or we go into paranoia mode and cease all friendly relations. A choice not really being one, because a 3 vs 1 alliance would kill us.
