Curt you are a wizzard with layers!! Its good to see the full colour potential of Civ II finally being realized. Yet, I have to ask you a question my friend. If the Civ II source code was aquired or somehow cracked, and the full colour pallet, expanded unit slots and events could be added to MGE, would you consider making this an MGE scenario?
I realize that is one hell of an "if" question, but I'd like to think that one day somehow we'll be able to fix those flaws with MGE.

Yes Fairline I do indeed have ToT, but I suppose MGE just feels more familiar to me as I've been playing it for nine years this Christmas. More than any game on any platform.
Anyways, about that title.gif I offered to produce for you guys. Are there any general themes you wanted me to consider using such as battlefield images or a red and black colour scheme? Or did you want to give me complete artistic leave on this one?

Okay, I too will fish around for some good pre-war era Soviet posters. Now, do you want the title to be "Red Front" or "Red Front Redux"?
Also, should I credit you using the name Fairline or your actual name? I've noticed some people like their actual names, some like their screen names only. Also, would you like me to credit the major contributors to the game, possibly Nemo for the original concept or only you as the scenario author?
P.S. Thanks for the advice on making ToT look like regular MGE.

I realize the title is the least important part of the scenario, so many apologies for taking up so much of the thread here. Now this is the style I'm considering using for Red Front ToT. Its for the graphical update of 2194 Days of War, known as "2194 Days of War Redux", which to date has been downloaded by a grand total of........ zero people.

This has been downloaded 199 time(s).

If so, the German Stalingrad and Caucasus offensives in '42, the Kursk operation in '43 and the defence of Germany in '44-'45 can be made appropriately stronger without having to alter much else. |
Curt, techumseh or anyone else who knows, could you please provide guidance. I'm basing the quote on a quick read of one of the Market Garden EVENTS files.
Additional question
In COUNT=X, what is the maximum that X can be?

Here's a thought, I've checked with multiple online translators and they all seem to agree that the Russian translation of the phrase "Red Front" is "Êðàñíûé Ôðîíò".
Perhaps I could use that as the main title text and in brackets with only slightly smaller lettering underneath the english translation along with the rest of the text you provided me with. Then again, such a graphic might end up looking too cluttered.

Oh yes, and although the propper russian text did not show up on Poly take my word for it I do have the actual Russian characters on my PC here.

Thanks. That fact opens up a lot of options when there is a need to create more than 1 or 2 units during a specific turn.

Yes, perhaps having an actual Russian translation would be better. Fairline those units are just incredible. And Curts new cities are going to go really well with the style.
