If in doubt, going back to the Ebon Hawk seems to always help things along in the game.

But I have to say the game does rather lead you by the hand so often that the odd head-scratching moment is a nice contrast

I was a little confused to what to do near the end (I still haven't finished, my mother came over today- so I had to stop playing).

I had done the quest to find everyone. I even went to the planet I was supposed to arrange the get together. I ended up talking to Kreia, and that set things in motion.

Well I don't know, I spent about an hour just wandering around hunting for that final quest to complete. It does artificially lengthen play time. OTOH, for some reason it doesn't get really boring... maybe it's that soothing sound the lightsabre makes. Whumm, whumm, whummwhumm KIIIIISSSHH whumm KIIISSH.

By the way, OMG my Consular/Master is a serious badass.

spoiler(highlight to read): Nab Shaddaa - The fight against vastly inferior opponents with vastly superior numbers in the poison gas bar. I'm Light Master but I absolutely adore my Force Lighting power. It PWNS everything in sight, killed most of those little annoying things in one shot. Force Wave is nice if they gang up on you. And throwing the lightsabre is cool as ever too. I guess it wouldn't be so FUN if I weren't a sucker for some good old Star Wars.

Wow, that's insane! My consular with a doublebladed sabre can so far only do about 40 with both blades, totaling ~80 in one attack. But then I haven't really put effort on building up strength ("only" 18), my wisdom is 26 now however. Max. force points is around 350 IIRC.

I keep saying "my", "me", "I". I did name my character after me too, but what the heck, "Antti Helin" could pass for a Star Wars name any day in the English-speaking world. Right?

and instead of putting my str, const, and dext at 16, I'll probably have my wisdom, dest, and charisma at 16. Though that would give my only 8 strength, and 8 constitution . That could prove challenging. Obviously I'll be choosing finesse.

Phew, I managed to resist the urge to read that spoiler. The tags are a godsend but I prefer ROT13 encoding because it needs so much more effort to decypher. Plus you can't Reply w/ quote in this thread at all now.

I'm far enough in the plot, I have a pretty good idea who it will be. I'm almost finished.

Now my mother has left, I should get back to playing. I should be able to finish in a couple of hours.

I'm to the final battle, but I cannot win it .

The entire game is so incredibly easy, and then this battle. argh. impossible.

I may actually have to lower the difficulty down to normal, but I don't even know if that will help. I put on my force gear to help resist the force, but I still can't resist the stasis attack of the final boss.

Heh, reminds me of my last battle in KOTOR1. I had built up a supporting Consular character, who was somewhat helpless without the rest of the party against Malak. I ended up using heaps of thermal detonators, personal shields, medical support packs and save games to keep me alive.

well I beat the final enemy (dont wan't to spoil too much here)

thermal detonators seem to be useless. I could use them against Malak, but not here.

I could have tried a hundred reloads to figure something out. But instead I just lowered the difficulty to normal. . It wasn't too bad at normal difficulty. The problem is the stasis attack. If I had a high wisdom, perhaps I could resisit it. Even with my force resist equipment etc, I couldn't do much against it. It stunned me for like 3 rounds, and in that time a majority of my hitpoints are drained in various ways. But at normal difficulty it didn't drain more than half my life. Which allowed me opportunity to retaliate.

Sometimes you can run around various obstacles and "lose" a pursueing enemy AI if they aren't too close. I did that once in the final battle. It allowed myself time to heal myself. I eventually struck the enemy down and various other things, and won the game.

All in all, a pretty good game. I still don't like being forced to use other NPC's when my main character is not in the game. There are a couple instances when you have to use Mira, and she's alright. But she uses ranged weapons against melee opponents. So I end up doing a lot of running.

And there is one other battle I died in. I won't spoil the enemy name, let's just say it could do around 250 damage to me in one hit (wearing the best medium armour in the game in addition to equipment with resistances to various attacks- though I didn't check if I had bludgeoning resistance). This is a difficult difficulty of course. He will do less damage on lower difficulties I'm sure.

I still feel as if they left some plot points out.

spoiler(highlight to read): for instance, what's the deal with that little robot that follows the computer specialist around and Goto? I was under the impression that goto was going to stop the destruction of Malachor. Other plot points annoy me. the fuel to citadel station. I arranged for them to get fuel. But during the final siege on that planet they acted like they didn't have enough fuel to keep the station in orbit. I would have liked the plot to reflect the fact I helped them. other points annoyed me. characters coming back to life. Yeah I know that Kreia healed them. It still annoyed me. I still don't understand why she brought the wookie back to life. And what happened to that guy she brought back to life on Onderous? General Vaklu I think his name was. And as I said before the mentioned about destroying the ravager, but I have never heard the name of the ship before, I had no clue what they were talking about until I got onboard the ravager.

I'm a little disappointed in the ending. It didn't seem to reflect my light or dark side in any way? What's up with that? Did I waste the entire game doing good deeds for people for nothing?

It was the biggest battle of the Mandalorion Wars, and subsequently there were huge casualties, and in that battle many Jedi turned into Sith, or lose the Force, in this case. Malachor was once an Ancient Sith base, and forever holds a dark side to it, corrupting all who venture on it.

I had to find out more about the ending. it's obvious it's missing something. Looks like they were rushed to get the game out by christmas, I'm disappointed in this game compared to kotor1. Oh well. Ok, I've cleaned the stuff provided by Aurora up, trying to make it more reader friendly. I also reordered it so that some scenes make more sense, added some comments regarding which should play depending on whether your character's gender and dark/light side alignment, and put in tentative timings on when they should play. I was going to wait a while, but I think I'll play again. There's so much in this game I missed. Even though I ws trying to do everything. I think I got most of the quests I could get as a light sider.

But I had no idea you could convert people!! And romances, I suck at romances. Both in real life and in games. I can never get them to work. I must be doing the wrong dialogue choices or something. I'm just not getting the options to come up.

And influence is very hard to get in this game. It seems if I get some positive, then in the same conversation I will get some negative as well, not really helping me.

I forgot to paste my screenshot. It was one of me using a plamsa torch as my main weapon. .

Okay I never really used it, I was a pure force caster (dark side). I never did melee combat.

And I actually found a challenging battle. On difficult level of course

spoiler(highlight to read): If you go to Dantooine as the first planet after Telos and side with the mercenaries, you will have a very challenging battle against a Jedi Master. None other than Master Vrook himself. Although he probably wouldn't have been so bad if I was a Jedi Guardian, but I have a Consular/Sith Lord build that is very non-combat orientated (I use a lot of skills- I have Int of 16). I only use force powers.
