Anyway, how about my proposal to inform the Gaians of this Spartan transport? In case they have infiltrated the Hive, they can check for themself of course. |
We know they have infiltration, so if their security is paying attention instead of drinking beer when running naked among trees, they should notice that too.
We can tell them of course - no risk here.

It's especially weird for we've seen a Spartan transport as well on the other side... |
Spartans probably have excellent fleet by now. Take into consideration - they have Initiative for long time now, Ecological Engineering too. I think they have Garland Crater in their heartland, plus many mines on rocky terrain by now, which are crawled. We already got once info they had fungus growth - due to pollution I guess. Their production must be superior.

One more thing - Mead did not mention our transport foil.
Did it go unnoticed?
Is it maybe already destroyed?
It was noticed, but Mead did not say anything due to diplomatic reasons?
Do Spartans know about it?
I am eager to get these probe teams into action ASAP

The foil is still out of sight from land, and if they don't have a fleet screen on their southern shore we might be lucky. Next turn we have to watch out for that Spartan fleet tho. My guess is that this fleet has come over Uni country and moves south for us or Lal. |
I think that this might be also a backup or reinforcement taskforce of Spartans against Morganities. It's heading was not disclosed. We do not know where to it is going. Also final heading of the unit says only information regarding it's final tile movement. Sometimes it is not in agreement with actual course. It may be just due to attampt to omit a sea fungus.

Maybe it is better to "play being with stupid" for the time being? Morganities projected power by having for example too many secret projects and climbing in powergraph earlier too high also. They had for that reason a Spartan Raid. We might gather information, not reveal too much. Let us hide that we have infiltration on Yang too. The longer others think we do not have yet those needed for us infiltrations the better.

ditto that.if we appear as weakest human faction and we are farthest away from sparta and thus hardest to attack,we should be the last faction standing if the spartans get to strong

Gaian message - informal for now - from BinTravkin:
quote:
Greetings IT Mart!
(as eventis seems down again, I send this through pm)
The Spartan destruction of Morgan capital has led Gaian Union to a final decision for making alignments with other factions.
It seems that things should change and things should change now.
This message is not an official proposal, rather an informing and questioning one and perhaps a prelude to further negotiations between Gaian Union and Data Angels.
Gaian High council has put forth a project to engage in a PACT with Data Angel faction to try to catch up with rapid growth of both Spartan and Morganic factions.
The grounds of such decision are:
1.Gaian Union and Data Angels have been friendly to each other from the very first contact
2.Gaian Union and Data Angels share almost the same ideals, main of them being freedom and peace.
3.Gaian Union and Data Angels are both the weakest (human) factions on Chiron and really need some help from outside to grow faster.
PACT would produce such help for both our factions in the terms of commerce and increased co-operation in all or almost all issues.
The exact terms and conditions can be discussed later.
With this message Gaian Union wanted to ask Data Angels if your faction is interested in this kind of relation.
best regards,
Lord binTravkin

A lot to think of. We have to be careful in my oppinion not to form obvious political blocks against someone. At least until we have good defense and "Fast Reaction Forces"

We have treaty already, so it be no change. For increased trade income we have to put it into diplobox.
Maybe let us find out somehow how Spartans and Morganities would feel about it. We got very strong invitation for Pact from Morganities. If we go for Pact with Gaians remaining in treaty with Morganities we will distance them from ourselves. If we go for Pact with Gaians and Morganities, Spartans will read this as a significant danger for them.
It appears, that slowly times of being neutral come to an end. I am not sure, but if we stay neutral from now for too long, we can find ourselves suddenly opposed by all others.
Then what political sides would probably form?
Angels-Gaians
Spartans
Morganities
Would then Spartans and Morganities join for short time to get rid of us and Gaians? Possibly. They might do it. Two stronger factions killing together two weaker it's a perfect match for them.
Angels-Gaians-Morganities
Spartans
This one would be strange. Gaians can also feel different about Morganities.

It may be a bit too late, but maybe we should inform Gaians, that we traded from Morganities High Energy Chemistry and we can transfer it to them, maybe as payment for Ecological Engineering. They might trade Impact technology then and not plasma.

To Gaians:

To Gaian union:
We would like to inform you that we are presently in possesion of High Energy Chemistry technology and we can transfer this technology to you. Whether it would be as the payment for Ecological Engineering, we can decide upon that. In case you would like to trade a technology with Morgan Industries, please consider choosign their impact technology in that case.
Would plasma technology be of crucial importance to you at this stage of war with Human Hive?
Sincerely,
IT Mart

Re: EnvEco.
I checked, that we gonna get like 3 mor EC from the field. However this will also bring increased commerce level. And this may be worth it.
Also with energy restrictions lifted we may go for free market. That would probably kinda "skyrocket" our EC income
