Actually, he is actually using sources. Respectfully, you're just making stuff up based on who you think should be in, whereas Dr Zoidberg quotes my fact thread, which bases its information on a multitude of sources, such as screenshots, previews, interviews, etc -- on actual evidence.

The only caveat is that, as Dr Zoidberg implied, one of the civs from my fact thread might be incorrect: we have reasons to believe one civ got axed after the first information was given to the press, but we have no idea which one. The only civs who were not seen or heard of recently (E3 or later) are the ones Dr Zoidberg lists seperately: Arabs, Aztecs and Babylonians. One of these might have been cut, which would give us 17 known civs with 18 in the game. So there's still room for one more civ, which presumably would be Greece. But until we see actual evidence of their presence, they will not be added to my list.

Almost certainly Sundiate Keita and/or Mansa Musa, the two famous Malian emperors.

Ok, last off topic post on my part...

I read somewhere that they had problems, since they couldnīt do this in a hangar. But Iīve forgotten where I read it. My guess is that firing up two jet engines inside the hangar was too dangerous, it probably wouldīve damaged the hangar walls (like it did with the asphalt runways).

Well, the CivAnon website mentions the Greeks in passing.

Look at the bottom of the screen there at the Civilization Anonymous Manifesto. One of the later points talks about Greeks, Romans, and Mongol hoards (sic!).

However, I'm not certain of the veracity of this data.

I'm not talking about what should be in; I'm talking about what I perceive Firaxis as being likely to do. Remove the Greeks from the game is not high on that list, given how much the casual gamer would expect them to be there.

I agree too. It just couldn't claim to be a game about civilization without the Greeks in it. The Greeks made too much contribution to civilization to be left out of the base game...

Yeah, it looked impressive there for a while

quote:
The original homeland of the Iroquois was in upstate New York between the Adirondack Mountains and Niagara Falls. Through conquest and migration, they gained control of most of the northeastern United States and eastern Canada. At its maximum in 1680, their empire extended west from the north shore of Chesapeake Bay through Kentucky to the junction of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers; then north following the Illinois River to the south end of Lake Michigan; east across all of lower Michigan, southern Ontario and adjacent parts of southwestern Quebec; and finally south through northern New England west of the Connecticut River through the Hudson and upper Delaware Valleys across Pennsylvania back to the Chesapeake. With two exceptions - the Mingo occupation of the upper Ohio Valley and the Caughnawaga migration to the upper St. Lawrence - the Iroquois did not, for the most part, physically occupy this vast area but remained in their upstate New York villages.

Yes, and for hundred of years after its founding, Canada spread its culture around the world -- Canadization, just like the Hellenization that resulted from Alexander's Empire -- therefore the impact on world history from the great Canadian Empire is such that they should be in Civ4!

Easy peasy- either King Sundiata, who Islamized Mali, or Mansa Musa, the Lion of Mali who caused uproar in the Egyptian gold market by bringing so much bullion with him on his hajj to Mecca.

Oh, and El Cid definitely not a good choice as Spain's leader. He fought both for and against Muslims and Christians.
