and i was thinking about how the word
friendship is defined...

i think of a friend as a person i like hanging out with.
someone i like to talk to about things...
someone i go places with... enjoy being with.

i don't consider a friend someone i just know.
maybe know their name or someone i work with.
someone i say hi to in passing... even chat with online.
this to me is just being an aquaintance..
being a friend is something much deeper than just knowing who they are.

Hugging isn't cuddling! Cuddling is holding each other for a while (over 10 minutes at least), whether in a 'spoon position' or otherwise.

I dont see a thing wrong with cuddling if ur just friends. Looks as though most of you guys seem to beleive this is all bout sex when it really doesnt have to be. As Boann said its about being comfrtable enough to just lay there watching tv or talking with no sexual inenudo going on. Now on the other hand, now that I am married again, i dont think tubes woud find it ok f i was to cuddle with my best friend who happens to be male as well. I woud how ever sit with him and hold his hand if he needs a good friend.

its no different to hug a friend.
sometimes you can't help how your body reacts

well we were talking about friends.
not family anyway..
and we are talking about being single
and having a "friend" cuddle with you.
and what that actually means.

besides just asking her what it means to her.
which is the most perfect thing to do.

the fact remains that when a woman cuddles a male friend.. shes not nessasarily looking for sex when she does cuddle..

and the "possibilty" of something more than friendship is there or she would not consider you cuddle material.

First off nobody has mentioned spooning as cuddling. Second if you have known the guy for a long time whats wrong with that. Third it could be the girl just needs and wants to be held and not screwed for once. If space is unvcomfortable then he needs to speak up if not and is ok with "cuddling" with out the boner then why should he not comfort this girl??? I am sure most of you guys think she is playing a game but in reality she enjoys his company and is a bit on the touchy feely side.

Mine appears to be close to Imran's - lying in the same bed, holding one another continually. Just laying on someone's arm isn't cuddling, tho still highly intimate a thing to do with a just-a-friend.
