I've made my point of view perfectly clear already. Anybody that thinks a 21 year old that RAPES a minor is OK is a moron.
And you can make any argument your want about consenting people... but in the country it happened... it's rape, because she wasn't an adult. There is nothing else to be said that can be constructive... I hope when you become an adult and have a 14 year old daughter, that you will get a more realistic point of view on the subject. I highly doubt you will be supporting the rights of a 21 year old sex offender as he rapes your daughter.

"Consent" implies that both parties can make rational decisions using common sense...I don't even have a 14-year-old daughter and I can see what a good idea it is to disallow this sort of thing.

Kinda reminds me of some Agatha Christie mystery I read once where the 'killer' was using psychology to make people want to kill the desired victim. What Tom is saying is akin to saying that the people tricked into killing would be guilty of murder.

There's a pretty big difference in my mind between two minors having sex and an adult having sex with a minor. The former is just two people being stupid together, the latter involves one person that should know enough to not do it.

Tom, if you'll read my post, you'll notice that I don't really have a problem with two minors having sex. I don't think it's a good idea, but it seems to me as long as both of them are making the same bad decision, nobody's getting taken advantage of.

Everyone gets common sense and the ability to make decisions on their own at some point...obviously, it varies, but 18 has been shown to be a good place to draw the line...

So in conclusion, neither 17/17 or 18/18 are evil in my opinion.
