Last I checked, CDG has to obey the rules imposed by the game; given the current situation, there is no way CDG is going to appear next to Apolyton with a "massive stack" 10 turns from now. Let's try and look at things from their perspective (including their economic capabilities) instead of crafting fictitious worst-case scenarios.

Check the official communications thread; CDG is doing a good job of just plain ignoring us for the last 5 days. I think they are doing it on purpose because of their 'new' contact with CFC. GF is really starting to piss me off.

MasterZen, see if you can figure out why he's ignoring our messages. It might not be fair of me to ask you to use your GoW ties with him for this; but the ISDG game supercedes the PTWDG, IMO.

But GF has been positng away on Apolyton, he's been around enough to find time to post in the DGII Forum and the PTWDG II Threads.

Perhaps GF is simply no longer active on their team? Maybe they didn't let him contribute, or had a disagreement. It could be many things...I wouldn't get all worked up about it.

GF hasn't been too active lately, so this would be my best guess also. He also pointed out that he wasn't too interested in the ISDG, so I couldn't be worried about things.

From the PTWDG things, I know GF is a little busy with RL things, he got called to active duty a few days ago and might head off sometime this month. For that reason, I honestly don't think he is very much involved in the ISDG

I appreciate the frustration they've put us through, but we shouldn't send an "uppity" letter to them.

Just keep it business, keep it simple, and if they don't respond we'll tell GCA that they haven't responded to our request.

A decision needs to be made

We as a team need to decide what to do. Our Non-Agg Pact with CDG is about to run out. We can either try to sign another one (for same period? more? less?) or let it die.

My thoughts on each:

Sign a new one
May discourage CDG from picking us as their target
May give us additional time to prepare for the "inevitable" conflict.
May give CDG additional time to stack up immortals.
May be signed in bad faith by CDG so that they can try to catch us "off guard".
Will limit our ability to strike CDG first using any sort of agressive plan like what Fried-Psitalon is proposing.
Would have to be broken by us if we want to ally with GCA against CDG.

Do not sign a new one
May stir up fear in CDG that we plan to attack them, causing them to overreact and attack us first (if they weren't planning to do so)
May cause CDG to try to attack us sooner than if we signed a 30 turn NAP.
Will give us the freedom to attack CDG at any time and not take a rep hit (other than the typical rep hit for starting a war)
May cause CDG to try to ally with GCA to protect themselves from us.

Please discuss and add any other options I haven't included. Please give you opinion on this issue.
