370BC turn played. 24 hrs and 11 mins. We may get some flack. I delayed as long as possible to allow jon to commence negotiations. No word yet - so I played as if they were proceeding in good faith.

To start with - GS offered a peace deal unaccepted. I added Dissidentville and sent it back still unaccepted. This confirms any discussions jon has had with GS, and still buys us one turn to get our units out of Dodge - and hopefully get a spearman produced their next turn. We are at 19 shields. No use giving them walls.

I also moved Harry and his gang down from their mountain to the plains. Ostensibly to start a long trek home. But also - they were all mortally wounded and would likely go next turn anyways. This makes us completely vulnerable to chariot attacks and is a good sign of submission. If they decide to axe these units - well then it is on their conscience. We have clearly ceased hostilities.

All units are pulling out for north estonia - and taking the least aggressive route home. You can see this from the screenshots.

The settler from the Voice will sit tight until the exodus trip is set.Galley heading north to start the trip with one to be produced from Wittlich next turn.

I have put Elipolis to build worker. It has an unproductive citizen as it is. One less pop won't matter. Galleys and a warrior and a spearman being produced elsewhere.

Engineering in 16 turns.

RP's galley has held up. I will contact RP to tell them to hang tight. Ditto with Gow.

I have not heard back from nathan, but I think we have to step out

if they decide to keep pushing us, we fight back (and announce the terms that they rejected to the other teams), also we exodus to legoloand (so we need to be ready to do this soon if things go sour)

Guys - I may have put the last nail in our coffin. A major oversight on my part.

If you check the last screenshots - and you will need to check both the north and south to notice it - it is much more obvious on the save when I checked it again tonight - their 4 galleys on the west coast, two tiles sw of grog's mountain - can reach 4 tiles north and unload troops on the noth side of Elipolis. I should have noticed this - and covered it with the warrior from Elipolis - it would have prevented the landing.

My humble apologies. I think in my concentration to pull troops back from their southern location I missed this. I even went so far as to asking vondrack to hold Lego's playing of the save, but then nobility and morality got the better part of me and I told him to send on the proper save.

Now - maybe GS will miss the opportunity, which is doubtful. They only need to move their galleys a few tiles toward Inchon to be able to see it. If they do see it and land - and peace is not agreed to, then we unload on Inchon which will be less protected. We will then need to scramble to defend cities in the north, and to get what will be left of the Inchon attackers up to North Estonia to help out.

If they don't see it - or do see it and still decide to reinforce Inchon - then I can breathe one huge sigh of relief and continue the evacuation.

Sorry about this major oversight. And sorry about letting the team down at such a critical juncture. Proof again that we need more than one involved in playing the turns.

No problem there. And we will be able to get more than one off. And we may even be able to contain the invansion. It will depend on whether we can take out Inchon in one turn.

Beta, not a problem. They can not land troops N of Elipolis unless they already have troops on the galleys (or other galleys with troops hiding in the sea). Those galleys by the mountain are the ones returning empty after offloading the troops now in Inchon, right? If those galleys are empty it takes them 3 tiles to get to Inchon to load and only one move left which gets them to the tile S of Elipolis. Moving adjacent to Inchon to load units will save the galley one move and allow it to get to the tile you are worried about, but walking onto a galley causes the units to use all their moves so they can not walk off on the same turn. (Only loading and unloading within a city uses no moves).

350bc turn played. And I forgot to take screenshots.

Ack. And it is late.

So - GS landed 7 troops north of Elipolis, where I suspected they would. Sorry about that folks. I have drawn together what defence we can. And I have assualted Inchon. Not bad. Took out the walls with the fits catapult shot - took down somewhere around 7-9 pikes. And was one immortal short. They had one pike with two HP's left. .

But our losses were relatively light - and we got two elites out of it. We should be able to finish Inchon off next turn - and see what we can do in Noryh Estonia.

GoW is also landing troops this turn. And fingers crossed - so do RP.

Other troops in the southg are pulling back. Settler is set to go from Wittlich - as is galley.

Sorry for the short report - on what was our most succesful military turn yet. I will send around the save tomorrow morning. You will get a sense of it.

Hi guys - in the absence of screenshots - I am sending around the save from last turn. Essentially - I assaulted Inchon as described above. And I pulled units from the south. There are still 3 units in and around D-Ville - 2 pikes and a spear.

There are no galleys left in Elipolis. the one on the west coast went North. And the one in Elipolis went up the east coast.

My expectation is that we will soon see GS galleys coming up the east coast. By then - I expect we will have RP and GoW help - and will have eliminated Inchon with our troops ready for defense.

Jon - what is your e-mail these days. Stuff keeps getting returned. Please pm me or update the thread of everything. Thanks.

Meekness and humility reign - as they must. To support Eli's peace initiative - I have left the three catapults on the GS road to Elipolis. I have moved all our units to the coast. Other are still coming up from the south.

I offered peace to GS and Dissidentville- and accepted it.

I pulled back our workers and northern spearmen to Wittlich.

I screwed up gain last turn and let Wittlich City fall into disorder. (When are one of you going to take over playing for me. )

Should be OK now with 3 spearmen in there. The other cities are undefended - so if GS chooses to axe us - well they can.

I will PM GoW and thank them for their commitment and ask them to pull their units out. I wil make nice with RP, the weasels. (they do not win this game - agreed?)

Eli - if GS agrees - and there definitely seems to be a positive response to my public apology on behalf of the team and myself - we will need to work out logistics.

Got a pm from nye asking why it will take 8 turns. You were copied Eli. I presume you will respond.

That s it. All together now - tails between our legs ...

Oh OH. And I forgot. Last turn, with our armies in disarray, GS holding Elipolis, and me letting Wittlich fall into disorder - we got the message about the people loving us so much they want to expand the palace. I tried to add on an out-house, but had to settle for the front lawn.

A galley set sail from Wittlich with a spear and a settler.

Also - the two elite immortals were moved via galley from the coast to Harrys Hideout. I have informed GS. They will move cross territory next turn to Wittlich - and the galley will proceed north around North Estonia. For that matter - the two immortals can stay in the galley. Any thoughts?

All units and workers in the noth are now in Wittlich. 2 spears and 3 workers.

I have moved units toward - but not into Dissidentville.

The large stack remains on the coast until GS concurs with the D-ville plan.

The generous nation of NeuD offered us spices by the way.

Not much to report on - and it is after dinner and a bottle of wine.

Two Elite immortals into Miller town. The galley returned to pick up 2 more units - including a reg immortal we can cash in.

Another settler produced in The Voice - now pop 3 - and he was moved to Witt City. He will be set to go with another galley and one of the Elite Immortals next turn.

All southern units have fortified just north of D'ville waiting to hear from GS. Please see the latest in th GS FA file.

Our other galley is proceeding alomg the Bobian coast and is out of this screenshot.

Cashed in 4 barrcaks and the temple in the voice (now down to pop 3). We have pretty good cash flow now. Sent 50 gold to Lego as part of the repayment on loans. I have no idea where we stand, but we had over 100 gold, so I thought it made sense. Builds good will as well.

And that's about it - most vereything else can be seen from the screenshot. Comments? Suggestions?

We have three. We may as well keep them. We are going to need ships in our new land. It gets some units and settlers on their way.

And in the absence of a signed peace agreement - was a small bit of insurance.

I fully appreciate that the teleporting will be quicker. And we will have several more settlers to go that route.
