I know, but I don't think starting with a Lawful Good character is a good idea, personally. BG is a roleplaying game, and if you pick an extreme starting position, like Lawful Good, it limits what you can do durin the game while remaining true to the character. I did it first like that, and hates that I couldn't steal anythign, which made things harder. Having a NG or CG character means you can do more things. Starting with 1 higher rep is a minimal benefit (it's like 100 gold at a temple, IIRC) and as such, isn't worth it, IMHO, since it constrains what you can do, and the quests you can take. You can of course ignore rep, but I think you'd lose much of the game not roleplaying at all. The first go is the best time to RP, since it's all new.
