Geo, when Hive and Lal get the DocAirPower, Gaians discovering it should trigger release of this tech to our faction due to special ability. I would either:
- inform Gaians, that we gonna get it that way and ask them for other benefit, anything else here, tech, energy, unit.
- do not inform Gaians, do not take Doc Air Power right away, only later tell them, we got it and then negotiate other trade/return.

Just a side note. BinTravkin is playing much of Gaians now. I know his style of play a bit from other multiplayers. He is a person not liking to "clog" datalinks with "useless" technologies. We may have problems when trying to offer them as many techs as possible. I wonder if they agree for that DAP trade.

I would be surprised if he would refuse envecon and SFF. The benefits are too great for those techs, and DAP is something very usefull for them for they can spot a Spartan invasion fleet coming that way. Anyway, I've sent this message to Chaos and Bin, we'll see what comes from it.

And on a sidenote, this sort of messages keeps them thinking we don't expect to get benefits of our special ability or don't have infiltrated/pacted sufficient factions for it. Never give away everything you know.

At some stage we will have to believe in war, unless we can transcend faster than everyone else and still stay highly defensive.

So now we have to just wait till Spartans answer. I think we gave them quite good image what is going on around and we open enough to continue any required talks if possible hostilities would errupt.

Spartans having 3 (bombers?) would have to have DAP for like 3 turns I think or more. 2 turns to make them, or even more, one for relocation.

Re Gifting bases in Pbem.

No you can't do it. What you can do is allow the other player to take the base, but first end pact. Then when the player takes control of the base re instate the Pact.

It is just like capturing a base unfortunately: the population will drop and a facility will be lost, unless the base is mind controlled (which may be expensive)

They suggested Ascetic Virtues for us. We do have our ability which is very close to Planetary Datalinks, so from their point of view this is more efficient that way, I think they are right. Ascetic Virtues are good for us due to our -1 Police.

The question is do we worsen our relations with Spartans now or later. I think that when Gaians and Morganities have DAP this should balance the other factions more.

So far we play neutral to everyone. I wonder how long will be able to do it before someone will make a coalition against us and we will have problems finding friends.

Yet another thing when speaking about secret projects. I know, since they wrote that too, that Spartans wish to build Cyborg Factory. And if i were to quarrel with them over an SP, I would get rather Cyborg Factory and not Planetary Datalinks. Also Hunter-Seeker algorithm is worth of attention, more to the fact that others would not have it.

Definitely Planetary Datalinks has its value, which is greater than our ability, but when we infiltrate almost everyone or everyone, then it no longer matters that much. I would try to achieve that, even for the price of some, hopefully, short conflict but anyway we should be cautios...

Spartans definitely play too good. Now I see them as larger danger than Morganities. Even though they have now +253 EC/turn. Have you noticed that? Our economy will improve, especially when we gonna have more Tree Farms (50% economy) and energy banks (50%). But achieving over 200 EC/turn seems quite far as for now. Maybe after we have more boreholes.
