I believe TNA needs a summit so that we can give answers as a united alliance. There should be no seperate peace.

They have done nothing to provoke Babylon and except for their rumored thirst for blood seem friendly enough.

DR is in Middle Ages. DR has Monotheism, We are also in MA, with Feudalism. If DR is researching Feudalism, very likely, sending Feudalism to both you AND Euph will make Feud cheaper for DR.
Does BoH ABSOLUTELY NEED Feud now? If they do (which Kloreep & I think that they really might not, being further from front, any slow movers would take a while to get their, if upgraded next turn), we have no problems sending it to them. Just so that they realize that, with DR's GA, Feud willl be a fast tech, faster with more civs knowing it. Would they mind if we were to withhold Feud from them, until needed to research Chiv? If they don't need it, right now, would they mind the same with Euph(getting it later instead of now)?
Tell them, that we beleave that Euph likely needs it much more than they possibly could need it, at this point in time.
Tell them, that it our concern that DR would profit by our alliance cheapening that tech. We don't want that to happen or if need be, to reduce it as much as possible.

So, what does this mean to TNA and the tech deals?
1) While DR is alive AND they haven't traded Mono to anyone else, that tech is cheaper to anyone else. That tech will be 'discounted' while they are still alive, but IF they don't trade it before they are eliminated, then the tech cost goes back to the Base amount. IF they DO trade it, then the tech cost will be further discounted, with their elimination. So, we want to try to keep them alive long enough for them to trade it to someone else.
2) As We KNOW what tech we will have (Feudalism), the other members of TNA can start researching Mono, headed towards Chiv. As we DON'T want DR to get Feud, with MI's & Pikes, we want to try to keep the cost of Feud as high as possible. This would require us to NOT trade it to the others in TNA.
Of cource, Kloreep pointed this out in chat, that our allies might be counting on upgrading to Pikes and MI's. Well, for one, BoH isn't very close AND with theirmostly horseman Army (with Ancient Cav), do they need to have Pikes/MI's and would they even get their in time to even be of help? Now, Euph is definately closer, so they might be really counting on Feud to help redress the balance with Upgrades. But still, would it really help?
The danger here is to let the others "ride our coattales" and profit from having a cheaper tech to recearch. over the same time frame, that gives them more gold to make upgrades.
As we know what tech we will have, the others can immediately start on researching Mono and they wom't need Feud, until they are close to finishing with Mono (for the Chiv Path to be open). So, we should make the other teams work against the Maximun that they can spend, instead of letting them make more gold/ and/or with faster research times.
It defetes the purpose of this alliance, as we want ourselves to make te most of what we produce and that is to keep from letting them from speed up their research/

Basically, we believe that we can keep the cost of the tech higher for DR until the last possible moment. Then transfer it to Eu and BOH. Babylon is NOT trying to back out of a deal.
If this is NOT acceptable to BOH we can proceed as originally planned. Babylon's goal is not to hurt DR while keeping this alliance strong. We hope that BOH sees the logic and wisdom in this.
I again beg your forgiveness in delay of this transmission. I hope that you see that by sending you posts from our private thread we mean to remain open with you.
