Just exploring the possibilities, but has anyone here thought of sending Enk1 into Pillage CBRs land?
We have Enkidus, and the best unit they have are warriors. Shortly we will know where the iron is. We could rip up all of their terrain improvements, we might even get lucky and capture their worker.
Just the theory of course, but has anyone ever done this before? (I have warrior rushed someone before, and I have pillaged early on with a scout, but nothing more.)
On a better note, Aro, have they asked for any compensation in an alpha for BW deal? I would be disinclined to give any discount, unless we could work something out to do with a writing -> philo beeline (and with this lot, we would have to be the ones to research philo, of course)

when we pillage their land they are crippled, so they will take revenge. but as they have no chance of winning anymore they will make a total war and therefore slow our expanding.
we will lose more than we will gain!
edit: it would be a good idea if we would play against an AI but humans aren't that forgiving...

Well, we didn't talk about values, just the general idea. It's a job for our leaders and strategists figure out how we can do it, and all the details about bakers, tiles and so on. I'm just a messenger... 
We should discuss the subject and study alternatives, to be able to answer fast... What is a fair deal, in our opinion? I'm pretty sure they will not trade BW for alpha just like that. IMHO, they have experienced people there. They will want something in exchange. In fact, Wosret talk about a "package deal" including tech trade, exploration, screen trades and peace (He mentioned a deal involving turns, how many as possible)
But they didn't send me the proposal yet.
edited: About this "no retrade clause", I agree. Btw, we should think about cooperate in long term with Brazucas carefully. I'd rather not eliminate this possibility. At least, so soon. Lets wait.

Early wars can be very effective. The fact that they are human not AI is all the more reason to remove them quickly. I am aware that if we did start a war, it would be hard to end it without destruction of one party, or one suing for peace due to being eliminated otherwise. But there could be profit for us in this.

agreed. if they are our only continental partner, we'll need to trade tech with them at least until we discover another nation.
