It's Ok.. I've cracked the language barrier... should have the thing up and ready for the end of the weekend as I'm finally getting to grips with Delphi!
Talking about languages, how many of you out there have seen/purchased foreign language versions of Civ3... are there translated versions or was that just my imagination... let me know, see usual contact details below....

1.15 Added Pirogue For England, Rome & Japan
........Also increased cost of producing a settler
........Was released as a Beta patch, no installer
1.16 Added New Installation Program
........Rome AI set to build more ships
........Pirogue given it's own directory and a copy of Galley files
........Was released as a Beta install program
........Also added several bugs! oops!
........Would crash on Windows 9X Systems oops again!
1.17 Installation Program Fixed
........Tested on Windows 98 and Windows XP
........Civilopedia entry for Pirogue improved
........Russian city names corrected (my thanks to Vasiliy Beliaev)
........Civilopedia files now amended, rather than replaced
Before running the install program.....
If you have previously installed 1.16 delete the "Modpacks" folder inside your Civilization III folder...
If you have previously installed 1.13 delete the "Marlamap" folder inside your Civilization III folder...
This will be the last time I change the modpack layout (I promise!).
Suggestions are still welcome on this Map.
If you wish to provide any translations for the pirogue's civilopedia entry (I understand that there are *some* translated Civ3's out there) then please contact me.
I'm looking to help pull together a Europe mod next, i.e. I will take Joe Bloggs map, John Smiths spanish mod, Jack Jones polish mod etc.. etc.. etc.. and pull them together in one easy to install (if rather large) package. Yes I AM looking at a full set of graphics for each Civ. So if you have ideas on what I should be looking at then please contact me!

Maybe I'm d/ling this wrong, but when Irename the attachment to a .zip, it tells me I have a fragment and it doesn't work. The one off Civfanatics says that it dropped files and is empty. Is this my fault, or the server's?

brilliant map, i strted a game as england yesterday but, being very impatient compared to a lot of peopleround here, I gave up on that one around 800AD with >1 minute turn waiting
So i go to start a new game with 6 civs and get the starting location problem, I come here and it has already been fixed, brilliant
thanks guys |
If I see a bug I squish it! I do try to respond quick.

Great map! There is no other word for it. I had just a game as Egypt and enjoyed it very much!
Sorry, if that has already been reported, I lack the time to read the whole thread. But in the area south of the Sahara desert something was wrong with the rivers. Some tiles next to rivers did not allow irrigation, and some cities adjacent to a river needed to build an Aqueduct. How can this happen, or is it intended? |
This is a know problem with the game (not our fault!), perhaps it would be possible to make the rivers more accurate by editing the graphics for river's but I'm no artist.
