I am quite surprised at their stupidity at throwing their support to a team that's going to die instead of us who will be the dominant power in the continent and can be a major source of tech trades and other goodies. It's madness.

My patience is wearing thin, my next message will no longer be in such a nice guy tone. We're the wrong team to f*uck wit.

Hmm, perhaps a "politely" worded note to this effect is in order. If they take the position of calling us untrustworthy it could come back to bite them later on. We will be the dominant power on this continent and them backing GCA and not us isn't a good sign for future trading efforts.

MZ, remember we have borken a peace treaty. For all their aggression, IIRC we haven't heard of GWT doing so.

I am very annoyed with their threats of breaking off trade, though. It strikes me as incredibly stupid, too, assuming they're serious about the CGN war; why should they antagonize the other major power?

Perhaps they don't realize we're a power, albeit a 3rd rank one, quite yet.

Screw GWT and the horse they rode in on. We are exploring only. If they don't understand that, then srew 'em! We do need to get comfy with CFC so that taking them out later will be easier.

GWT is cleary not going to be "on our side" at any time now or in the future. CGN looks to be the better partner for us in the future.

I expect a future CGN/APO alliance against CFC/GWT; mark my words.

MZ, breaking the NAP with GCA only allows GWT to talk sh@t right now, and very little at that for the reasons you mentioned. If it were in GWT's best interest, talking "nice" to us would be what we would get. I think GWT already suspects us of being on CGN's "side", hence the reason they are being very cold towards us.

OK, we DID f*ck up there by entering their territory without permission. We must apologise and say that we have been having delay problems recently, as they can see from the thread at the UN. This led to a miscommunication between Consuls and a mistake for which we are very sorry.

However, part of our failure to contact GWT earlier about such an agreement is motivated by the long delays in communication between us, and we hope in future that both of us will make an effort to speedily contact the other regarding any matter that concerns both of us. We give them the same reasons for the war on GCA as we did to CGN (unless we already have), stressing the helping CFC part and keeping our pact with them - that CFC was facing extinction, which we could not allow from such an aggressor. Battle is fair and proper, and GCA are honorable opponents.

We regret causing any team to question whether they can trust us, but at the same time insist that we are out to defend ourselves and our allies from outside threats, of which GCA was a dangerous one.

We end which a generic - hope we can strengthen communications and trading ties with GWT, as we foresee a long future in this game between we two teams, and hope they can forgive us for our mistake of entering their waters unauthorised.

No matter what we do we CANNOT allow our pride to influence our decisions.

Yes, GWT is being stupid, but it does us no good to explain this to them, nor for us to win some sort of silly moral victory over them.

We MUST immediately withdraw our galley (we had no right to move there) and then ACT apologetic about it. They will seriously misjudge and misinterpret the effect of their latest message to us, and will confidently continue to make the same diplomatic mistakes in the future.

We need to very quietly get what we can, tech-wise out of GWT now, and then move our future-tech deals to CFC and CGN.

We also need to remain a "lesser power" in GWT's eyes. In their eyes, GCA had a higher score and more culture, greater cities than us. They may actually believe that GCA has a chance against us. We may actually still be under the radar in GWT's eyes and we should try to stay there as long as possible.

DO NOT start any trouble with GWT. DO act absolutely polite and courteous with them. DO NOT clue them into how big of mistake they just made with us.

You never know where our strategic interests may lead us. For all we know, we may end up allied with GWT against CGN. Doesn't look likely now, but things change.
