Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

1075 BC:
-Farmer to mine
-Digger to mine
-Poker and settler SW-W-W
-Waiter NE
-Soux Chef N
-Spearmint activate and move S
-Spoon fort
-Harvester road
-Salt W, searching for barbs
-Gourmand W toward the blackness near Sunshine
-Busboy SE, continuing to explore the MAST area
-FB: S or W?
-Big Eater SW
-Buffet citizen on the bonus SE-SE swaps places with the Chow citizen on the furs forest
-If the new Kung Pao citizen is on a hill, move to one of the 2fpt grasses

Put an end to popups!

Darn, I forgot about S&S and Schezuan in last turn's plans. Oh well, perhaps its best to get Schezuan's food up anyway.

1050 BC:
-New Horse in Buffet to be named "Fast Food" and moved NW-W-W-SW-W-S, to be stationed somewhere in the west in case of barbs. (Someone want to figure out a particular place on the road network? I'm not a military man.) Kudos to Sharpe for the name.
-Plower SW-S to road and irrigate
-Planter S-E-S, to make a more direct connection between the spices and Moo-Shu; and then to road to D and E
-Poker join Planter E-S
-Settler N and build "Pot Sticker"; citizen works a 2 food tile, set build to a worker
-Waiter NE-N-NE toward Egg Roll, where he can switch out with Big Gut
-Cropper SE and irrigate
-Soux Chef skip turn
-Spearmint activate and move S
-Big Eater S
-Salt W
-Gourmand W
-FB: If FB is undamaged and there is only one barb in the camp, attack! 25 gold is worth it. If FB is damaged and there is only one barb left, tough call; I guess we should just fort. Sunshine would likely get the camp in that case, and standing aside for them might generate some goodwill. If FB is damaged and there are two barbs, fort. If FB is undamaged and there are two barbs move on to in order of preference: W, NW, S
-Busboy: Move S (SE if blocked)
-Switch Schezuan's build to a worker
-Sweet & Sour citizen moves to the cattle (extra shield instead of extra commerce); switch build to barracks
-Chow Mein citizen on the bonus NE-E moves to the lake
-Buffet citizen on the furs forest moves to the now-vacated bonus SE-SE
-New Dim Sum citizen will probably be on the forest; move him to the bonus SW of the city
-Move Chop Suey citizen SE of the city to the river grass SW-S (one more beaker)
-Switch Kung Pao's build to a settler, poprush, then switch back to a temple. (1 of 2 poprushes to get the temple done as fast as you can say "whip". Assuming it takes 20 turns for you to say "whip".) We'll poprush again 10 turns after this to finish the temple.

Put an end to popups!

1025 BC:
-ATL activates, ATL and Incensed move NW to the incense hill
-Ship's Cook (NW-N of Buffet) activates, moves E-E, and boards the new galley
-New galley in Chop Suey to be named "Muscle-powered Galley" and moved E-SE-S, going to check out LL's coastline
-Plower to road
-Chopsticks (Chow Mein) activates; he and the new settler move S-S-SE towards site A. With the luxuries hooked up, Chow won't need any MP units, and as Chow is now out of barb danger due to our now-vast settlements (mwahahaha) we might as well pull the spear garrison permanently to provide for this settler.
-Waiter N-E-E
-Fast Food SW and fort, ready to respond to barb sightings in the west.
-Waiter N-E-E
-Poker fort
-Planter road
-Soux Chef S, checking on the dark hill
-Spearmint S
-Big Eater S
-Salt W
-Gourmand W
-FB fort
-Busboy SE
-Change Buffet build to a spear: I've been thinking 1 spear per city will be a bit light for the western cities when the barb stacks come. So, I think we should build a spear now and station it S-SW of Wonton, with Fast Food, where he'll be able to go defend any of the three cities in the area on demand. After this spear, Buffet may need to build yet another spear for the next Chow settler; unless we choose B for the next settlement site. Then we can get to building more horses after that.
-Make sure Chow is on the same old drill: Cow, wheat, two bonuses
-Switch Chop Suey build to a horse. Growth will take the bonus grass, so no need to change WF

1000 BC:
-New spear in Buffet to be named "Rhothaerill"? and sent NW-W-SW, to join Fast Food at the barb response point
-ATL forts
-Incensed builds colony
-Farmer NW-W-S, heading to improve a tile for Wonton
-Digger N to road and mine
-Waiter SE-E-NE to Buffet. Maitre d' remains in Buffet for now till he can be upgraded.
-Cropper E-N
-Chopsticks: ? With the new city founded, Spearmint and Soux Chef will be able to keep the rest of the unsettled SE out of the fog of war, preventing barbs from appearing. So, we can either send Chopsticks S so that we have two spears defending Kung Pao, or we can send him back to Chow to escort the next settler, meaning Buffet can immediately produce a horse rather than a second spear. Opinions?
-Settler moves S and founds "Moo-Gu-Gai-Pan"
-Spearmint S
-Soux Chef S, closer to Kung Pao
-If Salt is damaged, withdraw N to heal. Otherwise, move S to meet up with Gourmand.
-Gourmand W, moving to help Salt deal with the camp if necessary
-Busboy: S? SE? E? What?
-Muscle Galley SE-?-? (second two moves up to the discretion of the turnplayer; take us to that coast). If the land looks promising, we should consider landing Ship's Cook. This would be a good turn to have people in chat to play...
-Buffet build to ?. Depends on Chopsticks, see above.
-If new Chop Suey citizen is on the grass SW-W, move him to the grass SW-S (making room for Egg Roll's upcoming growth)
-See if putting the new Moo-Shu citizen on the road NW-N (if he isn't already there) will get us a commerce. Probably won't.
-Move Schezuan citizen to the cattle S of the city
-Move Sweet & Sour citizen to the wheat
-And edit: Check slider to see if we can reduce it.

Got spare money?

Our galley found LL land. At least, I assume this is LL land.

Do we land Ship's Cook S? I say so. LL can already see our two landmasses are close, so if they see us, all that happens is that they know we know we're close. And I'd like to see the land around here... it's unclaimed, so I don't think they can object.

--- image removed ---

I'm also not sure about where to move Busboy. I lean towards SE.

We landed the warrior as you can see in the report. Not much more revealed; there's another whale E of the one you can see in the picture, and SE-E of Ship's Cook (he's S of the galley) is a bonus grass that doesn't appear to be connected to more land. The land beyond the northern bonus grass might be connected to more land though.

975 BC plans:
-Digger roads
-Farmer SW-W and mine
-Rhothaerill W-W-S
-Waiter fort
-Chopsticks fort, waiting for the next settler
-Waiter fort, taking over MP for Buffet
-Planter & Poker SW, roading towards D
-Plower irrigates
-Cropper irrigates
-Spearmint fort
-Soux Chef fort
-Big Eater S
-Salt SW, Gourmand W, moving into the same stack before approaching the camp. (If the barb warrior we saw this turn moves there, don't bother attacking on our turn; just move Salt NE and Gourmand NW)
-FB fort. If the barb horse is pursuing, we have to stop somewhere; might as well do it on a mountain. And FB can start healing again.
-Busboy S
-Buffet citizen on the bonus SE-SE swap with the Chow citizen on the furs forest

I just realized I forgot that Ship's Cook and the galley need orders. (Surely I'm not the first one? Please tell me somebody reads the plans beforehand? ) I think Ship's Cook should move E inland; if we cannot be sure whether or not it's an island after that, the galley should be moved in such a way as to try to verify.

If it is confirmed to be an island before the galley uses up its movement points, send it back toward the mainland to pick up a settler and escort to settle the island.

Also, don't forget to check the slider. There's a chance we can tone it down another notch.

Agreed. Definately use the land scout first, followed by a determination of how to use the galley.

And of course we read the plans ahead of time; sometimes we just don't actually register what they say

Hmm, true - I have just now finished translating Kloreep's next turn orders into English from their original Kloreepian via the Tabejina language... so I didn't realize that there were no orders for the galley and Ship's Cook until I had finished reading the English version ...

If it is an island, it isn't tiny.

--- image removed ---

950 BC plans:
-Lit is finished. Set research to anything while we idle.
-Slider to 100% tax
-BigGut & Butcher NW-W-SW (since there aren't any warriors in the west that will be upgraded, I figure we should send the greater part of our current sword force there)
-Maitre d' S-SW-S toward the chokepoint
-Poker fort
-Planter road
-Harvester ? - if we're going to build B with one of the coming settlers Harvester could do some improvement around that city. Otherwise, either road around Kung Pao or send him to MGGP.
-Big Eater S
-Gourmand & Salt: We want to attack the camp soon. As long as the barb horses haven't followed, NW should keep them out of sight while getting them in position to attack.
-FB: Will have to be determined on the spot
-Busboy SE
-Ship's Cook SE
-Galley back SW-SW-W to pick up a settler
-Chow citizen N of the city moves to the lake
-New Egg Roll citizen (should be on one of the regular mined grasses to the northeast) to the bonus SE-SE of the city. (Since Buffet must do another turn of 1 fpt for efficient growth, let's get a little growth in Egg Roll before we have to slow it down by working forest)
-Pull up Sweet & Sour, Schezuan, and MGGP citizens, and assign them as follows:
Sweet & Sour: Irrigated Cattle E-SE and irrigated plain N
Schezuan: Cattle S and irrigated plain W
MGGP: Wheat

Edited to give the wheat to MGGP at Sharpe's suggestion

900 BC:
-Rhothaerill activate and move W-S-SW
-Farmer W-S-SW, heading to build mines for Moo-Shu (let's get it to 2spt)
-Butcher & BigGut SW and fort
-Planter S, roading to our future city sites
-Poker activate and follow Planter S
-Waiter N
-A-Spear-Agus and accompanying settler NE and fort.
-Plower road
-Fisherman irrigate
-Maitre d' S-S-S
-Sea Brisket S-S-S-SW to Kung Pao and fort
-Spoon fort
-Ship's Cook NE
-Galley E-E-E
-Unload Chopsticks & Settler S?
-New Buffet citizen should be on the grass N-NW, with 10 spt on the spear and +10 spt coming.
-Dim Sum switch to ? We should be able to send Plower over to improve Dim Sum, with the worker from MGGP taking over for Plower in irrigation of the south. So Dim Sum doesn't necessarily have to build a worker; what should it build? It could do a settler to speed up expansion. A temple in preperation for building the FP there would be another option. Thoughts?

-A-spear-agus and settler: board galley? Start moving to a mainland site?
-Ship's Cook N
-Egg Roll citizen on the bonus SE-SE switch with the Chow citizen on the furs forest
-Buffet build switch to a horse, and the citizen on the bonus NE-E move to the forest W (slowing down growth in Buffet while getting Chop Suey to 6 spt; note that it's NE-E, not NE-N, as we actually get more commerce by losing enough commerce in Buffet to make it uncorrupted).
-Chop Suey citizen on the grass S-SW move to the bonus S. Keep building another horse
-Wonton citizen on the grass E move to a coast tile; by doing this for 2 turns, we get one more commerce, slow down growth so that it won't grow till the turn after the Pyrs finish, and the temple still comes in 2 turns

Save is with us. Sunshine and LL sent us maps unaccepted again, MAST sent their map accepted. While we have nothing signed, I think their intent is clear enough; I suggest we put our map on the table & accept with Sunshine and LL, and accept MAST's map and send our own accepted.

I can play the save later tonight unless there are objections.

Also, we don't have any military plans for this turn. And we still need to iron out the next city spot. Ugh. What's happened to this forum?
