Ari Rosenbach:

  • Revenge for a nuke attack - How about if you've just been sneak-attacked with a nuclear missile, as a Republic or Democracy, you are able to successfully refuse a cease fire when the enemy talks to you immediately afterwards without worrying about being overruled. After all, would the U.S. make peace immediately after being nuked by another country?

Jens Kroemer:

  • I really support much more realistic nuclaer politics, as said by Sean M. Punch.

Henrik Lindholm:

  • The losses incurred since hostilities started should also influence costs of bribery. If one side is taking a heavy beating then it should capitulate easier.

Adam Gitner:

  • They should add the ultimate espionage, ASSASINATION. It wouldn't destroy the civ, but it would send it into civil disorder for a while leaving an opening for your armies. Of course the effect would change according to your government.

Sean M. Punch:

  • New diplomacy rules: Exchanging cities. It should be possible to make treaties in which actual territory is exchanged; i.e., one city or set of cities for another city or set of cities. This would allow both partners to consolidate their empires and establish meaningful borders - especially allies whose empires have grown intertwined. For that matter, land purchases should be possible: sell off some cities in return for cash. This would be a lot like inciting a revolt to "buy" a city, except that the owner of the city would be making the sale willingly.

  • New diplomacy rules: Shared victories. Why can't we all just get along? How about a set of game-ending victory conditions that allow the human player and one or more of his allies to win the game together?

Jason Atkinson:

  • Make it more difficult to use nuclear weapons. Senates should be able to overrule you. It should destroy your reputation.

Uzi Levin:

  • Every emissary sent to a republican or democratic civilization which is at a state of war with a fundementalitic civilization should offer a peace treaty, because I believe that civilizations are afraid of fundementalistic nations and will ally with their enemies. I state these two most important facts because being fundementalistic is just too easy.

By D. Credé:

  • I think that Fundamentalism is too good; although the science rate is halfed it should be less effective referring to its income (Compare to reality: The Iran or Lybia do not seem to be very rich (apart from their natural oil resources).

Cor Smal:

  • Revolution in other civs, so that a domestic leader can be replaced by an aggresive military.

  • Always be possible to insist to withdraw troops, without damaging your reputation

Jason Atkinson:

  • Increase espionage cabability, Spies can establish "Spy networks" in countries you all ready have embassies it lets you see what and how many types of units they have, know their attitudes towards other countries, and other information that can be viewed with the Foreign Minister. With a Spy Network you can attempt to change the goverment of another civilization. If you succeed, the civilization aquires the government of your choice that is instantly friends with you, if you fail they hate your guts and start a war.

Erik Törnquist:

  • As I´ve read, let some lands be more rich of resources than others. For example, a desert could contain lot´s of oil. This can invite a new diplomacy, a fight for oil (example). It can also be fish, fruits, and more. It should not be like in the old games.
