Jens Kroemer:

  • I support VERY MUCH the idea, that engineers should be able to create canals, although this should take them a long period of time. In addition, cities situated at a river or canal, which MUST be connected with an ocean square, should have the option to built a kind of 'inland-harbour'(<- city improvement).

Drew Stephens:

  • Allow engineers to construct borders around your civ. These would act like city walls and you could have military units on your side defending the country.

  • Beef up the automate settler setting. Allow player to specify what improvements to make around the home city. Allow to set what order of types of squares to do first and what improvments to do. Basically, allow player to configure the automate settler.

Adam Gitner:

  • Fortifying and fortress should change to entrenchment in modern times.

  • There should be units specifically designed to build things such as railroads, canals, and farmland. Of course settlers could do them all. If you wanted say a transcontinental railroad you could buy a bunch of cheap railroad builders and they build railroads faster.

William Brown:

  • How about giving the engineers more power to change all sorts of things like building the wonders; Hoover Dam, Pyramids etc.. Or just building dams (not the wonder) so as to increase power; more production etc..

Uzi Levin:

  • When engineers change the terrain type of rainforests, that should bring to a global warming, and when there is a global warming and the ice caps melts, shore cities should be drowned.

By D. Credé:

  • Ingenieurs should be able to transform ocean squares to land squares and vice versa; maybe it should be possible to create rivers (or canals), too.

Chris Grove:

  • Engineers or settlers, ability to build canals to allow ships to travel through isthmus or inland to city that canal is terminated at. Restrictions would be one at a time in each segment, and if more than one unit, direction would be one way unless connected by a lake or sea where more than one ship could exist.

Jason Atkinson:

  • Let Engineers (after you have the needed technology) build SAM's into fortresses - combat engineers, can pillage and destroy fortresses in one turn good attack and defense, can make roads, RR, and fortresses but not irrigate or make terrain transformations, can make amphibious assaults.
