How about eventually deleting old polls from the list, say when a month or so has passed? And if possible, could you organize them so that the newest ones are on top? This is a very useful summary and it'd serve us all if it's as readable as possible.
EDIT: Now that I think of it, the distinction between open and closed polls is a bit misleading... some polls don't have an expiration date so they'll theoretically hang in the open category forever. I would prefer them all being in the same list, and closed polls having some sort of marker in bold or a different color (so that you can find them easily enough by just looking at the list).
