	The Apolytonian War Academy Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

Citizens of Apolytonia!

As we all know, our position is bad and our start poor. We are stuck in a vast jungle, have very low good terrain to work with and absolutely nothing to make our citizens happy and proud to be Apolytonians. This situation has to be changed. Our only way out is our military. The arrows, spears and axes of our glorious soldiers will soon be stained with French blood and shall give us the space and air to breathe. And they will raise the respect of other nations towards our glorious Apolytonian Empire.

In these hard for all of us times we proudly declare the foundation of the Apolytonian War Academy. It is a place for all citizens, supporting a sane and well prepared warfare, to discuss plans, strategies and scenarios. It has no room for ultra-warmongers, for whom the presence of another nation's unit within the range of ours already suffices as reason of war. This War Academy is about strategy, not hazard.

Note that the Apolytonian War Academy is neither a political party nor a governmental office. Like Thinkers Guild and Culture Club it is a place to discuss and learn from each other, not to decide. We will discuss various strategies and "what would be, if" scenarios. Our goal is to find the most efficient way to hit the enemy as early and hard as possible. We will find and report weak points in our defense. We will offer the government plans and strategies as base for decisions. This includes recommendations for all governmental offices, be it the SMC or the ministers of IE, city planning, public works, science, trade and finances. Members of all political parties are welcome as well as all other citizens of Apolytonia.

Four simple rules:

1 - Every citizen of Apolytonia has the right and is explicitly encouraged to take part in the strategical discussions. Questions and comments are welcome.

2 - Every citizen of Apolytonia who agrees with the spirit of the Academy has the right to join the Academy staff.

3 - Every member of the War Academy has the right to open discussion threads. They shall be marked with the words "War Academy: (thread title)". So if somebody wants to discuss about the Chinese unique unit, the thread title should be: "War Academy: Ways to neutralize the Chinese UU in a possible war" or similar.

Panag, yes, peace through power is what we strive for. Captured workers shall clean the Notylopa jungle. The sea is definitely worth to be explored, as soon as we discover sea and ocean going vessels. The warrior near the French borders shall recognize their location and should as soon as Case Pink has been unleashed look out for a French counterattack.

Question 1:

Would you consider using workers as bait to be an exploit? Should we as Apolytoners use this "exploit"? I think it might help in this war against the French. Considering our poor terrain versus the ai production bonuses, I think we need to use every advantage we can.

If we do use a worker for bait, how shall we make use of it? To draw units out of cities and ensure that there are no excess ai defenders/attackers? Would that even work?

This could get quite interesting and we can all learn a lot.
As you all know, I am not much of a warmonger, but I do believe that war can be necessary and/or inevitable at times, and so "avoid war at all cost" is not a sound policy for any empire. Better to be ready for it and be able to choose where and when to fight.

Actually, I think Metallica summed it up pretty well in their song "Don't tread on me"...

You are right, this Academy is not founded to promote wars at all cost. But wars to expand and to supply our citizens with strategic resources and luxuries will be necessary. This is a place for our citizens to prepare for these wars. A sane war, well thought, well armed and with clearly defined goals, with precise strikes and a good placed reserve is as good as won.

Sorry for not responding earlier, since this thread is made not for discussions. Here's a short statement (my position): We need our workers to improve our productive cities, build roads and dig us out of the jungle. However, we could use foreign workers as bait. No doubt we will catch some.

If you wish to further discuss this matter, I suggest you either to do it in the "War Academy: Strategies for Case Pink" thread or open another one (don't forget to add "War Academy:").
